Tri-Gas & Oil provides propane gas, heating oils, alternative fuels, diesel fuel, gasoline, and high-quality appliances for customers throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Freight services include the delivery of propane gas, fuel oil, kerosene, gasoline, heavy oil, and general commodities throughout Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia.
 In 1946, Lee D. McMahan started the McMahan Poultry Company. In the early 1950's, he acquired a used oil truck to deliver fuel to his own poultry houses and soon started delivering fuel to neighboring poultry farmers on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
In 1963, Tri Gas & Oil Co., Inc. was established by Lee D. McMahan and Gilbert Banning - concentrating mostly on supplying fuel to neighbors and the poultry industry. As propane gas brooding stoves gained popularity, the Company began providing propane gas storage.
Soon, industrial and commercial demand led Tri Gas to provide custom blended oils, including biodiesel and other environmentally-sensitive solutions. Through a modern fleet of transport trucks, Tri Gas & Oil also transports propane gas and petroleum products direct from the refinery.
In April, 2008, Tri Gas & Oil launched a major, regional fundraising initiative to help end breast cancer with its Driven to Find a Cure campaign. With every gallon of propane fuel delivered from the Driven to Find a Cure truck, Tri Gas & Oil will make a donation to the local Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
 Today, Tri Gas & Oil continues as the same family-owned and operated business, providing energy solutions for customers throughout the Delmarva region with propane gas, oil products and alternative fuels for home, agriculture and industrial uses. The company's fuel distribution services extend beyond Maryland and Delaware to commercial and agricultural consumers throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Tri Gas & Oil is one of the largest distributors of biodiesel in Maryland.
